About Us

SAM Hospital was established in the year 1926 as a small dispensary by Hakim Moosie Raza, a graduate of Tibbia College, Lucknow, United Province (Uttar Pradesh). He was recognized by the Board of Indian Medicine, United Provinces. In the year 1965, after Hakim Moosie Raza, his son Dr. Syed Abdullah Muzaffar, nicknamed 'Babu', succeeded his father. Dr. S.A. Muzaffar holds a Graduate of Unani Medicine and Surgery (GUMS) degree from Patna College. Following his father's footsteps, he created some wonderful combinations of English and Unani medicines and soon became famous in the entire area for his inexpensive and good treatments. The common people of Chandauli lovingly and cordially called him Dr. Babua. Dr. Babua's popularity was such that he was considered the best doctor for children.
